sweet kinley

kinley has started to go to preschool 2 days a week. we started the year going just fridays, but have increased it to 2 days by recommendation of her speech therapist. she is starting to make a a lot of improvements, but has a long ways to go to be able to communicate with others. it breaks my heart to be away from her so much already, but i know it is best for her. the last couple weeks she has been crying hard when i drop her off which makes me feel sick. yesterday kya even started crying feeling so bad leaving her sissy so upset. the good part is whenever i come get her she is happy and smiling so i know she had a good time. this morning she is home with me ! yeah! i just love having my little girl hanging with me. she is such a joy to have around!

i LOVE all the art work and projects kya brings home every day! i loved this pumpkin picture she brought home yesterday. she was reading it to me and found some of her spelling errors and wanted to fix them, but i wouldn't let her i love the spelling that little kids come up with! so cute!

kya was ecstatic today that it was raining and that she could wear her new rain boots and carry her umbrella. she could hardly wait to leave for school. when i went to drop her off she proudly put up her umbrella and a huge smile came across her face. she was soo excited to use it! we said goodbye and i got back in the car to watch her walk into school. as she was walking up the long sidewalk up to the doors and one of her friends came by her. they had no raincoat or umbrella and without hesitation kya handed her umbrella over. wow..i love her heart. it is so amazing how i constantly learn from my kids. it made me think how i as an adult have a hard time doing this. i all to often have a attitude of selfishness. it was a great wake up call to challenge myself to be like kya and hand over my "umbrella" without a second thought.

when i picked her up i told her how proud of her i was to share with her friend. and she said "well mom i had a hood on my coat and an umbrella and she had nothing, i couldn't let her walk and get all wet. that would not show her Jesus in my heart"....wow kya thank you for reminding mommy to have a more christ-like heart!

pumpkin patch

we did a quick afternoon at a pumpkin patch this sat. it is always a great time to spend time with our family~i am soooo blessed!!!!!

circus!

we took the girls to the circus last thurs. what a GREAT night! they loved it! we are going to have to start making this an annual event for us!

at naptime before the circus kya prayed "that she would see lots of animals playing with their balls"...i started giggling and she said "mommy prayers are not something to giggle at " this girl is too cute!

fall in estes park

we went to estes last week to check out the fall colors! what a beautiful day surrounded by God's beauty and with my greatest blessing from Him....my family!
