we took the girls to see santa . it was so fun to watch kya so excited to see and talk to santa. kinley was all smiles until we took the picture. the man taking the picture was jumping up and down and making all kinds of crazy sounds...it think she was a little scared of him. she was fine sitting on santa's lap....the picture guy ....not too sure :)

i love these vests! auntie kerry gave them to the girls last year for christmas and i am sooo glad they still fit this year! i can not believe how much the girls have changed in one year!

christmas pictures 2009

it is that time of year again when i do the annual christmas pictures. i love/hate it. something always comes up....a fall, sickness...something :) well this year was no different kya fell the day before our original pictures and gave herself a black eye so we rescheduled for the next week. the morning of our reschedule kinley woke up with a nasty cold. i figured we had to go and at least try to get some good pictures! it was an interesting morning trying to get a almost 2 year old to sit and smile. kya of course was a doll sitting perfect and listening. but i have to admit i was very surprised with all the good shots we got! i love having new pictures of the girls!

disney on ice

we decided to take kya and maci to disney on ice this year for part of their christmas present. they were both VERY excited to get dressed up in their princess dresses :)

the boys were supposed to go to the parade of lights but it was SOOO cold so they last minute got tickets to go too! we ran into the boys in the lines going in, just enough time to get a group picture :)

we had a couple of very excited little princesses on our hands :)

the girls got spoiled and got cotton candy with tinkerbell hats and auntie dana got them tinkerbell snow cones!! so fun! we also got to see princess tiana from princess and the frog!

maci LOVEd the show, most of the time she would not even look at the camera...her eyes were glued on the ice! and also LOVED her cotton candy and snow cone :)

we had so much fun...mark and i couldn't stop watching maci and kya's faces as they watched the show. it was PURE excitement!

it was an AWESOME show! we can't go again next year!

christmas time is here :)

i LOVE christmas time. i love the music, the decorations, the family get togethers..i love it all. this year i am really trying to focus on the reason for this season. i am trying to take time to really teach my kids what christmas is all about. i know i personally get sooo caught up in the busyness of christmas that i forget jesus. i forget that it is all about him. sure everything else is lots of fun, but this time of year is about celebrating that jesus was born on this earth to save us!! what an amazing gift!

we have had a lot of fun spending time as a family reading books and singing christmas songs around the christmas tree at night reflecting on christ's birth.

we also have had a lot of fun decorating the house :)
