what to do....

so i am trying to figure out what to do... for the last month kinley has been going through this phase of stranger anxiety. it seems to be getting worse rather then better. she is such a happy baby...when she is not scared. then if you drop her off at nursery..put to sleep in an unfamiliar place...she FREAKS out!! now if you have not had the joy of hearing kinley freak out..you are missing something :) the girl can SCREAM!! 98% of her life she is a happy go lucky little girl..but that other 2%...wow she is a little diva. i have found the word diva to fit her perfectly. when she decides she does not like something...there is no way to change her mind! and i mean NO WAY :) so we are in a hard phase. church is hard, bible study is hard, having babysitters, sleeping away from home...sounds fun huh :) it makes me sad to think i might not be able to join my friends in bible study for the next couple months as we work through this issue :( so any of you reading this..i am up for suggestions :)

She will work through it. It is just a phase I am sure! She is an angel!

my mom tells stories of me crying whenever i was with someone other than her. and i think i just grew out of it sometime around 1-1.5. although i did cry the first day of school until about 3rd grade when we said good-bye. but kinley will be fine. i am sure the more you relax the more she will also relax. and i know people love you enough to give you a break and be with her as she struggles.

That does sound frustrating. I imagine she'll outgrow it. I hope you don't miss out on too much - LOOK at those LASHES, Brooke. She's already SUCH a GIRL!!! The french kiss story is a crack up.
Love,
Molly

Hey Brooke - I know this is probably little late but, Austin is actually a lot the same way. Especially at nursery in church. Honestly, don't do anything different!!!!! I know that it is heartbreaking to leave a child like that, but if you give in and don't go to Bible Study, she just ends up knowing that if she cries, you'll give her what she wants!! She'll grow out of it. BE STRONG!!
